Hi, I’m Sarah, the owner of Art Matters Kids Studio!
As a former teacher, and mom of 3 – I’ve always believed that kids need a place to be creative, get a little messy, and simply be themselves. When I saw a need for a space like that in our community, the idea for Art Matters was born.
Art Matters is about more than making art—it’s about giving kids the freedom to explore their creativity while giving families a place to imagine, create, and belong. I’m so excited to create a space where every child can walk through the doors and feel like an artist.
Where It All Began
Every space has a story. Ours started with a music store.
In the 1990s, my dad built this space with a dream of creating a place for music and community. He called the store Music Matters. Years later, after his passing, our family found ourselves wondering what the next chapter for the building might look like.
We decided to give it a new purpose—one that still celebrates creativity, community, and the joy of making something of your own. And so, Art Matters Kids Studio was born.
